A Montrealer for nearly 15 years, Colombian multi-instrumentalist Ramon Chicharron conveys his love of his origins through his music. With its lively rhythms of Latin and Caribbean influences, to which is added a touch of electro, Ramon’s music is a true invitation to travel. With his sensitive, committed and funny pen, he is inspired by the desire to live more simply, a world without borders and the difficulties encountered when pursuing one’s dream. His most recent album, “Pescador de sueños”, which translates as “fisher of dreams”, reminds us that a dream is never impossible if we learn to channel our energy and efforts towards a goal. The album’s visual, a collage by young Colombian artist Sara Agudelo Gutierrez created from a photo taken by Montrealer Mawuko, represents this mix of identities, and the contrast between urban and nature, tradition and modernism, dream and reality.
