These trails criss-cross a young (1.1 billion years old) and rare geological formation in the region that extends into Lake Opasatica. The three trails are parallel and one of them runs along a ridge; they offer about fifteen panoramas and cross an exceptional forest ecosystem composed of very large pines, spruce, cedar and yellow birch. There are some good elevations, sometimes on uneven ground and rocky outcrops, and some cliffs.
