For seven years now, Le Petit Théâtre du Vieux Noranda and the digital creation department of the Université du Québec en Abitibi-Témiscamingue have been collaborating to offer students a week of research and creation related to digital technologies, in collaboration with professional artists. The lab is part of the Immersion d’Interaction homme-machine course, taught by professor Jean-Ambroise Vesac. What’s on offer is a creative, inspiring and collaborative experience as part of an event situated at the frontiers of live and digital arts.
This year’s residency week will be in collaboration with lyric artist 𝘾𝙖𝙧𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙂𝙚́𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙨 and will culminate in a residency outing. Audiences will be engaged in an experience blending theater, opera and digital.
