The Festival de Glace d’Aiguebelle is an ice-climbing event for all in an exceptional regional landscape. It’s an event that brings together ice enthusiasts, those wishing to be initiated and the curious. For this second edition, the event will take place from February 28 to March 2, 2025 on Lac Sault in the magnificent Parc National d’Aiguebelle. Climbing, initiations, advice, meetings and sharing are on the menu.
Participants are invited to climb and spend the weekend with us on the lake in winter camping, or to rent the Park’s available camps and chalets.
A heated tent, outdoor fire, equipment and hot chocolate await you on the lake in front of the walls. A transport service for your climbing and camping gear is offered free of charge by the Park for those wishing to camp independently.
Who’s it for?
This activity is for everyone: expert climbers, intermediates and beginners are invited to share their experiences.
Initiation from age 7, all equipment provided Saturday, March 1, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cost of Event
– Park access fee: adults / $ 9.85, children 17- / free
– Camping on the lake: $ 25 per tent
– Saturday initiation, equipment included, payable on site: $ 25 per person
– Access to site and activities for independent climbers: $ 25 per person for all 3 days
On the Menu:
Friday, February 28: 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. headlamp night climbing on Lac Sault and campfire.
Saturday, March 1: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. initiation for all on Lac Sault. Families welcome.
Sunday, March 2: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Guided climbing and discovery of the Lac Sault walls.
Please note that the festival site is located on Lac Sault, a 1.5 km walk from the nearest parking lot. Round trip 3 km snowshoeing.
The event is currently sold out, but everyone is invited to come to watch and cheer on the climbers.
