Come discover artist Johanie Bellemare St-Georges, who presents a deeply personal and emotional exhibition entitled Painting to Heal. This selection of works brings together paintings created over the last few months and years, the result of an artistic process rooted in transformation, resilience, and self-reappropriation. A survivor of a horrific experience, art soothes the chaos of her post-traumatic stress.
Through painting, the artist has found an essential means of overcoming a traumatic experience whose repercussions have extended far beyond her personal sphere. This journey of reconstruction is powerfully expressed in her works, which address themes such as pain, healing, light, and empowerment. Each painting is a trace of an inner journey, a fragment of personal history transformed into living, shared material.
The exhibition is intended to be a space for dialogue and sensitivity, open to all. It testifies to the power of art as a tool for healing and resistance, while celebrating the courage to express oneself and create despite one’s wounds.
Johanie Bellemare St-Georges, also a professional speaker and life coach, may give a short speech at the opening, adding a moment of exchange and reflection to this already meaningful artistic proposal.
Please note that the exhibition will be on display from September 26 to October 26.
Open to all, no reservation required.
