For its 2026 edition, RÉSONANCES takes on a historical and profoundly contemporary dimension by celebrating the centennial of Rouyn-Noranda. In this momentous year, we shine a spotlight on the driving forces of our artistic scene: today’s women artists.
RÉSONANCES 2026 is an ode to their vision, their audacity, and their sensitivity. While rooted in the present, their works engage in a dialogue with a century of history. They are the symbolic heirs of a territory born from rock, forest, and determination; today, they are its interpreters and visionaries. Through their contemporary lens, they explore, question, and reinvent the identity of Rouyn-Noranda.
This exhibition weaves a powerful link between past and future, where the voices of today’s women artists resonate with the echoes of a century of transformation. Through a bold visual symphony, blending figurative, conceptual, and abstract works, they capture the vibrations of our time. Each creation is a fragment of our present, a reflection on our collective journey, and a window onto possibilities.
