Afrostival – 2nd edition
Get ready to celebrate and embrace African culture through music, art, food, and more!
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, the Petit Théâtre du Vieux Noranda will vibrate to the rhythms and colors of Africa with Afrostival: a festive, inclusive, and unifying event that places sharing, dialogue, and intercultural co-creation at the heart of every experience.
Vision 2025: Make Afrostival a hub for enriching cultural encounters between African cultures and communities in northern Quebec.
Main objective: Provide a lively space where African knowledge, stories, and cultural practices are shared with the Abitibi public in a festive atmosphere that fosters mutual understanding, community engagement, and artistic innovation.

Artistic performances—African music, dance, and traditions on stage.
Workshops, exhibitions, and screenings—to learn, discover, and engage in dialogue.
Flavors of Africa—a culinary journey through different regions of the continent.
Intercultural encounters and exchanges – to forge lasting bonds and celebrate diversity.
