The Académie des Citadelles offers a quality service to the various primary and secondary schools in the city of Rouyn-Noranda. Since 2017, it has been involved in the development of student athletes in the extracurricular field hockey formula. With the mission of transmitting its passion for field hockey, the Académie des Citadelles wants to offer amateur field hockey players all the necessary tools to learn the basics of our national sport. The youngsters will be able to develop through a detailed and personalized program in order to improve their individual technique. This innovative program takes place on the ice at the Community Centre and Jacques-Laperrière Arena.

With a history of more than 50 years, it has developed many great players, including Réjean Houle, Pierre and Sylvain Turgeon, Éric Desjardins, Stéphane Matteau, André Racicot, etc.
