The only art museum in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, the institution holds a collection of nearly 1,000 works of art that shed light on art in the Americas through a dozen events and exhibitions each year. Café, boutique, courses and art camp.
A true cultural center, the Art Museum contributes to the vitality of the city. Installed since 2012 in downtown Rouyn-Noranda, it makes use of its large exhibition rooms to fully participate in the development of visual arts in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Through its educational programs, it contributes to the appreciation of the arts by the school and community audiences as well as by the general population.
Sensitive to the reality of the First Nations living on the territory, it maintains special ties with their artists, whose originality is a strong mark of the Anishinabe, Cree and Attikamek cultural wealth.
