Sentiers pédestres des collines Kekeko et la tour d’observation Le Nid de l’épervier

All year round

Less than 12 kilometers from Rouyn-Noranda, the trails of the Kekeko Hills feature 15 marked hiking trails packed with points of interest, including panoramic viewpoints, escarpments, rock shelters and waterfalls. This vast landscape is best explored on foot, as the secret beauty of the forest can only be captured on foot. You can hike or snowshoe some 42 km on trails ranging from easy to expert. The Kekeko Hills massif covers some 32.2 km2 and offers walkers, snowshoers and other nature-lovers the peace and intimate beauty of the forest. Don’t miss the majestic view from Le Nid de l’épervier observation tower.

The entire site is maintained by volunteers.

The trails of the Kekeko Hills are also crossed by a long-distance hiking trail, the Transkekeko, which takes about seven hours to complete.
