Day 1: As soon as you arrive in Rouyn-Noranda in the afternoon, head to Le Noranda Hotel & Spa (D) for the night. For a first outing, go have an aperitif and a discover a micro-brewery beer on the terrace of Broue Pub La Perdrix (6), then head to Le Cellier Resto/Wine Bar (21) for an excellent meal. Finish with a frozen dessert at Twin Kiss, located in front of the restaurant. Want a little snack at the end of the evening? Why not a poutine from Chez Morasse (9)!
Day 2: Have breakfast at the hotel and leave on foot. A few steps away, stop at Jezz Prêt À Manger Traiteur (16), which offers a wide range of take-out meals. Don’t forget to also choose a delectable dessert from Mélissa’s Creations! Next, head to Osisko Lake, at Trémoy Park, to sit at a picnic table and admire the view. In the afternoon, go read a book and have a drink at the Livresse Bar-Librairie (4).
Day 1: Choose between sleeping at the Albert Hotel (C) or the Deville Hotel Center (A), both located in the heart of the city center. During the summer, part of Principale Avenue and East Perreault Street becomes a pedestrian zone, so everything can be done on foot. Why not try a local beer at Le Trèfle Noir Brasserie artisanale (25)? Right next door is Le Gisement/Le Cachottier (20). Take the opportunity to stock up on chocolates and maybe even taste one of their tapas.
Day 2: To taste the best croissants, go to the St-Honoré (23). Next, head to Osisko Lake to sit by the huge Cinquantenaire Fountain, better known to Rouynorandians as the Luminous Fountain. For lunch, taste the specialties of Olive & Basil (30), an institution in Rouyn-Noranda for more than 20 years. For aperitif and dinner, head to the large terrace of Pizzé Manger & Boire (31). Then, cross the door of the Polonais Cocktail Bar (31) and taste one of the many cocktails created by a renowned mixologist in a dazzling setting.
