Virginie Blanchette-Doucet was born in Val-d’Or in 1989. Her first novel, 117 Nord (Boréal, 2016), was warmly received and was a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Awards. She teaches literature at the Cégep de Saint-Hyacinthe.
