Nordic Reggae is, as the name suggests, an unlikely encounter between here and there, a cross between northern conifers and southern rhythms, between local language and universal messages. The influences of Manu Chao, Les Colocs and Jean Leloup are felt in his festive, committed music. His debut album, released in 2019, has been performed over 70 times in Quebec and Europe. Verdun’s second solo album, Reggae de Verdun, was released in February 2022, and has already played over 80 concerts, including two European tours, a tour of Chile and concerts across Quebec and Canada.
