Born in the dark underbelly of Montreal’s Irish pub scene, The Swindlers is a group of seasoned folk musicians bound by a common love of improvisation and a shared disdain for convention. Norwegian, Arabic, Balkan, French and Klezmer elements blend harmoniously with the group’s lively sets of jigs and reels, making each Swindlers show a veritable assortment of musical tastes.
Their music is unusual and well thought-out, but also infectiously fun and danceable.
