La Nuit des sans-abri is an event to raise awareness of the situation of homelessness, poverty and social disaffiliation that affects more and more Quebecers. Since 1989, every 3rd Friday in October, people have spent the night on the streets as a sign of solidarity with those living in precarious and often untenable conditions. The event also aims to give a voice to these people, to demystify the realities surrounding homelessness, but also to deconstruct prejudice and create a space for social mixing.
