Oscar Peterson Centennial Quartet

14 November 2025

8 p.m.

In 2025, we celebrate the centenary of Oscar Peterson, one of the greatest jazz pianists in history and a true Canadian national treasure. Winner of eight Grammy Awards and honored by the Order of Canada, he remains a key figure in world music.

For the occasion, the Oscar Peterson Centennial Quartet, made up of talented pianist Robi Botos, double bassist Mike Downes and drummer Jim Doxas, all winners of the prestigious Juno Awards, will come together for a unique concert. They will be joined by Swedish virtuoso Ulf Wakenius, the last guitarist to perform with the Oscar Peterson Quartet,

In addition to great jazz standards, the program will feature Peterson’s most famous works, including Place St-Henri, Hymn to Freedom and Cakewalk. As a prelude to the concert, a multimedia presentation will immerse the audience in the world of the jazz master. In addition, Oscar Peterson’s youngest daughter, Céline Peterson, will offer an intimate look at her father’s life through personal anecdotes.

This exceptional event will be a musical celebration and a unique opportunity to pay tribute to one of the world’s greatest Canadian music legends, and to experience some unforgettable moments.
