Mégann Nolet-Desrosiers’ artistic practice revolves around a central question: how can horror become a vehicle for empathy? Through sculpture, installation, painting and drawing, she explores the visual and sensory codes of the horror genre – borrowed from cinema and literature – to question the fragility of the human condition. Fear, unease and strangeness are staged not to shock, but to awaken a form of compassion in the face of the work.
