Horne Smelter

Summer tours of the Horne Smelter will introduce you to the history and operations of the smelter. The Horne Smelter is Canada’s only copper recycling and processing plant. Guided tours of the guest house, smelter and Horne Mining Museum will introduce you to the prospector behind the discovery of the copper-gold deposit, Edmund Horne. If you’re lucky, you might even see a copper anode cast!
