Over the years, Guillaume Laroche has proven that his writing style is equally suited to soft, comforting tunes and sharp, staccato melodies. His talent as a songwriter is no exception on this second album, which adapts to the rhythm of time passing and quietly sprinkles clues along the way (and perhaps a few in his hair). In the passenger seat is his trusty guitar; in the back, a close-knit team; and in his suitcase, a few awards that he proudly keeps (Artist of the Year at the 2024 Gala Régal, winner of the 2024 Festival le Tremplin de Dégelis, etc.). That’s all the artist needs to travel La route des raisons. A journey that will take you, windows down, from his corner of the country in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, through numerous roundabouts, to the four (?) corners of the unique geographical shape that is Quebec.
To mark the centenary of the city of Rouyn-Noranda, the Agora des Arts invites you to two evenings of 100% local music! Each evening will be an opportunity to celebrate a professional artist from Rouyn-Noranda, who will give a memorable concert. In the first part, an up-and-coming artist, invited by the main artist, will set the stage on fire. With this initiative, the Agora des Arts makes it a point of honour to celebrate local talent while offering a professional and stimulating stage for new artists. Come and vibrate to the rhythm of the local scene and support our creators!
Opening act: Pénélope Lacasse will take the stage to perform her music.
Apéro-concert: A discussion with the artists will take place in our foyer from 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Free for all ticket holders.
