This year, the Municipal Library is joining the big La Nuit de la lecture movement, celebrated across Quebec. For the occasion, we’re melting away winter and inviting you… to our imaginary backyard.
Flamingos, garden gnomes, grass, patio chairs, and a summer atmosphere will be there for an extraordinary evening where reading takes on a whole new meaning.
Starting at 6 p.m. – For the little ones
Children are invited to a gentle screening of stories on a blanket hung on a clothesline, just like on beautiful summer evenings.
After the reading, it’s time to get creative: make a lantern to take home and prolong the magic.
Starting at 8 p.m. – Time for the adults
In a relaxed setting, bring your cooler (filled with the beverage of your choice), come play, chat, and remake the world with the “neighbours.”
On site: classic backyard games—horseshoes, cornhole, cards, and good company.
At 9 p.m.—Watch out for the neighbour…
A little too flamboyant, a little too passionate, the “neighbour” Phoenix Mockingbird arrives with her new concept. Phoenix is passionate about… LITERATURE
A surprising, daring, and confident performance, as only she knows how to do.
And for those who stay until the end… a little surprise awaits the bravest
– A night to read differently.
– A night to come together.
– A night to prove that literature can pop up anywhere… even in a backyard.
