Aemulus is a multimedia and digital dance performance in which Giverny WELSCH interacts with 8 robotic arms. She will stand in the center, with 3 small arms holding small white projection surfaces on either side; and behind these, on either side, will stand 1 large arm moving large projection surfaces. Aemulus deals with the relationship between human and machine, and its impact on the notion of corporeality. It questions the relationship between matter and perception, between observer and observed, by continually inverting these.
