“Ça suffit les saucissons? What a title!
The idea was born over a plate of charcuterie at Livresse. What started out as a simple tongue-twister suddenly seemed the perfect title for an evening of feminist entertainment.
Not because we hate sausages, but because we want more variety on our plates!
A few meetings and a lot of silliness later, the Collectif Mortadelles was born. And the desire to create evenings of reflection on patriarchy was not limited to the 3 instigators, as many others joined the movement.
So we’re kicking off what we’re sure will be a long series of evening shows with the fundraising dinner on February 1.
In addition to the couscous, we’ll have the chance to see a number of exclusive acts run through their paces: texts by Gabrielle Demers, Kamylle Brault, Marc-André Larose and Zoé Clermont, and performances by Edith Fluet, Frédérique Godefroid and Judith Lecompte.
There will also be an auction where you can get your hands on some wonderful cossins and help us finance the rest of the adventure.
We promise you a tone that’s drool-worthy, touching, demanding, didactic and full of affection. A safe space that brews and allows us to open our horizons. Let’s shake the foundations of patriarchy! ” – Mortadelles Collective
