Cabaret Accents Queers is the ultimate evening for queerness to shine and LGBTQ+ voices to resonate. Conceived by artists from queer communities and offered to absolutely everyone, the cabaret is an opportunity to discover how LGBTQ+ people experience the world, how they feel about it and how they hope for it.
A veritable literary tasting menu, the show is a mix of intimate chronicle, humor, opinion, poetry, storytelling, slam, song and book excerpts that deal directly with queer issues or characters from sexual diversity and gender plurality.
Over the course of the evening, each artist takes to the microphone 2 or 3 times, vividly delivering short texts to move you, make you laugh, make you think, and maybe even shake you up a bit. All works presented on stage are in French.
This show is presented in collaboration with the Coalition d’aide à la diversité sexuelle de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue.
