On maternity leave and haunted by a strange noise that only she seems to hear, Violette sets out to question her neighbor Florence. Florence, on sick leave, has decided to stop taking her antidepressants. New friends, flanked by spouses who are absent, unfaithful or simply “in the fog”, they decide to break the monotony of everyday life and take charge of their own pleasure! How far will this quest for liberation take them?
Catherine Léger’s free, contemporary adaptation of the erotic comedy written in 1970 by Claude Fournier and Marie-José Raymond. The playwright highlights the double standard that still weighs on the shoulders of women who decide to live their sexuality freely. The play also offers a reflection on boredom, as well as on the pressure of the perfect family that today’s mothers have to deal with. What if delinquency were a means to happiness and freedom?
