Catchy melodies, thunderous riffs, Double Date with Death is mainly influenced by the punk and Californian garage of its contemporaries. DDWD opens up to a less raw sound by trying to reinvent itself with L’Au-Delà, an album entirely in French in a genre that is part of the art rock wave that is sweeping the Montreal alternative scene (with Corridor at the top of the list).
