Ensemble Aiguebelle’s program for this year’s annual concert will consist of Suites for Strings, suggesting a play on words in the sense of “continuity”. The works chosen for this concert are Peter Warlock’s Suite Capriole, Britten’s Simple Symphony, Louis Babin’s Suite du promeneur, Janacek’s Suite Idylle and Grieg’s Suite Holberg. These landmark works showcase the full depth of string instrument sonority.
