“LIVING IS JUGGLING” is the title of one of his works chosen among ± 600 others. The equation made here: art is life, therefore art is juggling with life. Louis Brien is the artist of the region who has best recounted the different stages of life, from childhood to old age, in a Temiscabitian inking.
His preferred medium, engraving (a technique of printed art), gives him a close, even intimate relationship with the material. He incises it, digs it with a tool or a mordant in a matrix to build stories from familiar scenes. He has really engraved his life and necessarily ours.
