Bringing together ten (10) regional organizations for a single event is for us a significant symbol of the importance of protecting Osisko Lake and all aquatic ecosystems, raising public awareness of various environmental issues and enabling people to get involved in the proposed activities.
The event is led by the OBVT (Organisme du bassin versant du Témiscamingue) in collaboration with the nine (9) other participating organizations: Collectif Territoire, Corcovado, CREAT (Conseil régional de l’environnement de l’Abitibi-Témiscamingue), GÉCO (Groupe ÉCOcitoyen), Maison Dumulon, RécréOsisko, Parc d’Aiguebelle, SLOAT (Société du loisir ornithologique de l’Abitibi et du Témiscamingue), Tic-Tac Parc.
HORIZON OSISK’EAU is a socio-environmental event that fits in perfectly with Water Month (June) and World Environment Day (June 5).
In Quebec, Water Month is a collective celebration of water, focusing on public awareness and education.
Since its launch in 1974, World Environment Day has become a global platform for raising awareness and taking action on the environmental challenges we face.
The entire regional population is invited to visit the stands and take part in the activities proposed as part of HORIZON OSISK’EAU, a unique regional event.
