In 1959, at the prestigious Welton Academy, Mr. Keating, a literature teacher, surprises the students with a non-conformist pedagogy. Invited by the man of letters to find their own voice, the teenagers recreate the Society of Missing Poets, a sort of underground club for free spirits of which Keating was once an influential member.
