The Tightrope walker’s crossing is a poetic show based on the collection Des petites choses pour l’eau by the Spanish painter and poet Luis Saenz de la Calzada, Marta’s father. The poems of this collection were written between 1952 and 1953, after the death of the poet’s father, who was very affected by it. These texts offer the possibility of a reflection on the fragility of life, love, the passage of time, the ineluctability of death, this last theme crossing all the collection. The writing, very modern, is similar to the surrealist aesthetic recently appeared and which takes its rise at this time.
