The Odeimen project wishes to introduce Anicinabe art throughout the Abitibi-Témiscamingue CISSS.
Installed at the entrance of each of the eight health care institutions in the region, works by Anicinabek artists welcome visitors and serve as a reference point for the members of this nation, as they refer to important symbols of their culture. As such, they provide a symbol of recognition.
Before the artworks are installed in the hospitals of Amos, La Sarre, Malartic, Rouyn-Noranda, Senneterre, Témiscaming-Kipawa, Val-d’Or and Ville-Marie, the eight works form the Odeimen exhibition presented at the MA.
