The Winston Band is a unique Montreal band that blends its French-Canadian roots with zydeco and Cajun music. Since 2012, the Winston Band has rolled its hump all over the place, spreading its joie de vivre with a sound that fuses the rich musical tradition of Louisiana with its own Montreal identity. The Winston Band has taken its music to the four corners of Canada, as well as to France, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Germany, the Czech Republic and the United States. To date, the band has played over 600 shows.
Et on déjeune is an all-female sextet that explores the boundary between intuition and factual observation, through a powerful and assertive poetry of imagery. Imbued with ’90s nostalgia, their catchy melodic Hindi pop music reveals itself to be all nuance and broken rhythms. Formed in 2020, the band won FRIMAT 2021 and can count on their contagious energy and palpable complicity to propel them towards infinity.
