Ten thousand years ago, the ice receded from Abitibi-Témiscamingue. Lake Ojibway-Barlow, formed by meltwater, deposited clay and shaped the landscape. After its retreat, a slow ecological reconstruction began, allowing human occupation. Regional archaeology reveals a human presence dating back 6,000 years… And it’s not over yet!
