Four immigrant women from different generations have put down roots in Rouyn-Noranda. Torn between two worlds, their life stories intertwine moments of nostalgia and sisterhood. Written and directed by Lara Kanso, they share with us their intimate and universal stories.
“In exile, I learned to turn my eyes toward the endless expanses of snow when my heart longs for the sea, and to search for gold nuggets when my eyes long for the sun. Exile transforms us, displaces us, recreates us. ” – Lara Kanso, author and director
An ecofeminist creation where living matter occupies a place of privilege.
