Under the theme “Les musiciens de mon pays”, OSRAT will be inviting some of these soloists who live in Abitibi-Témiscamingue. It’s a way for us to recognize their talent and involvement, and to offer them greater visibility. Isabelle Fortin, concertmaster and first chair, will perform Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending. Frédéric St-Pierre, 1st chair, violins two, and Andrea Loach, 1st chair, violas, will perform Mozart’s Symphonie concertante K 364. Our trombonist Neal Bennett will play composer Elizabeth Raum’s Olmutz Concerto for trombone. And finally, our horn player Vincent Rancourt will present Jacques Marchand’s Poème concertant pour Cor des Alpes.
