Integrating Rose-Aimée Bélanger’s work into the MA’s collection, devoting the largest retrospective exhibition to date to her, and conceiving a publication testifying to this event are all gestures that contribute to the recognition of the artistic practice that developed in northwestern Quebec in close relationship with northeastern Ontario.
