SHIT FUCK CUNT is one of the rare literary legacies of poet Vickie Gendreau, who died in 2013, at the age of 24, from fulminant brain cancer. Published posthumously five years after her death, barely 30 pages long, SHIT FUCK CUNT is a raw, poignant work. The raw words of a young woman making frank, feverish and bitingly lucid observations about her psyche and her society. All her anger, obsessions, desires and powerlessness transcend.
Vickie’s voice will be joined by those of poets who left us before the age of 30: Geneviève Desrosiers, Marie Uguay, Geneviève Castrée… In a desire to pay tribute, but also to question the way in which we create our myths around mortality, this collective of performers attempts to give substance to, and revive, the words of women whose illness, carnal and existential desire have tinted their works.
