In the ephemeral setting of the Écart exhibitions, Éditions du Quartz and Gabrielle Izaguirré-Falardeau invite you to a moment of poetry and collective exchange.
Through an unabridged reading of Michel X Côté’s supreme scorcher UN POÈTE CHEZ LES ÉLEVEURS DE PICKUPS, the public will be invited first to let themselves be carried away by the poet’s words, then to take part in an informal – dare we say relaxed? – about the work, its themes and the impression it leaves on us.
What does the pickup symbolize? Who are the poets? How do we live through the disappearance of our surroundings? How do we combine the beautiful and the ugly? How does Michel X manage to do it so well? We’ll try – or not – to find answers to these and other questions, together.
This project is made possible thanks to the financial support of the Government of Quebec and the City of Rouyn-Noranda under the Entente de développement culturel.
