Yvon Deschamps raconte la shop is a musical and humorous show inspired by the work of Yvon Deschamps, offering a creative vision of his texts, accompanied by some twenty Quebec musical hits. This concept, which combines different forms of the performing arts such as acting, humor, song, dance and circus, will allow us to discover colorful, atta-chants characters who question society and make us reflect on today’s values, just as they questioned the social structures of the time through Yvon Des-champs’ great monologues.
Of the 19 artists on stage, three musicians will accompany the four main characters, played by David Savard, Elizabeth Duperré, Sylvain Marcel and Stéphane Archambault. Yvon Deschamps’ presence will be felt through a vibrant narration and videos projected on screens. Stage direction is by Jean-François Blais, musical arrangements by Antoine Gratton and choreography by DM Nation.
