In the heart of the D’Alembert district, about 20 minutes from downtown Rouyn-Noranda, experience nature by hiking the rustic trails of Collines D’Alembert.No matter the season, you will be amazed by the magnificent panoramas throughout your hike in the mountains. The 7.7 km hiking trails range from beginner to expert. There are some good elevation changes, sometimes on uneven terrain, rocky outcroppings and cliffs without safeguards. For your safety, you must always follow the marked trails and be well-equipped to avoid injury. In the mountains, signs and inoukshouks indicate the path to follow. At each intersection, you will find a sign indicating “you are here”. All along the trails, you can take a break and consult nature interpretation panels.
Opening period: open all year round
From downtown Rouyn-Noranda, take Highway 101 north for 15 km towards the D’Alembert district. 100 m after the intersection of the Aiguebelle road leading to Cléricy, turn left (west) on Harrisson street, then after 500 m you will reach the parking lot. Follow the steps and a sign will indicate the trails to follow.
