The FME (Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue) has been promoting emerging and independent music for more than 20 years now. It gives regional, Quebec, Canadian and international artists the opportunity to perform in front of festival-goers thirsty for music and new sounds. Thanks to indoor and outdoor shows, thematic evenings, “5 à 7” and other original formulas such as several hidden shows, it animates and energizes the city of Rouyn-Noranda during the Labour Day long weekend. Concert halls, cafés, restaurants, bars, art gallery and an outdoor site completely designed in the image of the festival are taken over by the musical groups.
