These trails follow a young (1.1 billion years old) and regionally rare geological formation that juts into Opasatica Lake. The three trails run parallel to each other and one of them follows a ridge; they offer about 15 panoramic views and pass through an exceptional forest ecosystem made up of very large pine, spruce, cedar and yellow birch trees. There are a few good elevation changes, sometimes on uneven ground and rocky outcrops, and a few cliffs. Swimming is possible at Baie-à-Beaupré (without supervision).
