The Rouyn-Noranda History Museum is a dynamic and unifying institution that brings local history to life by linking it to social issues. A regional leader in research, conservation, collection, and cultural mediation, it is the only museum in Rouyn-Noranda to offer historical activities and operate two sites: the Dumulon General Store and St. George’s Russian Orthodox Church. The museum stands out for its ability to preserve and pass on the memory of those who have lived in the area. Rooted in 20th-century history, the museum highlights Rouyn-Noranda’s heritage through exhibitions, outreach activities, and off-site initiatives. It builds bridges between generations and communities, fostering a lively dialogue between the past and the present.
