Festival des Guitares du Monde en Abitibi-Témiscamingue
To kick off the summer season, Rouyn-Noranda welcomes guitarists from all over the world for a festival where virtuosity is honored. The Festival des Guitares du Monde offers festival-goers a wide range of concerts and musical activities across the city in different venues and restaurants.

JULY
Festival d’humour émergent en Abitibi-Témiscamingue
New to the Abitibi-Témiscamingue scene, the FHE is the brother festival of the Festival de musique émergente (FME). It offers comedy enthusiasts performances by up-and-coming humorists in unusual locations. Whether it’s a karaoke night, a show, a brunch or even a podcast, it’s under the sign of humor that this festival has carved out a place for itself. Who knows, maybe you’ll meet your new favorite stand-up comedian?

AUGUST
Osisko en lumière
The biggest music festival in Abitibi-Témiscamingue, Osisko en Lumière will take place this year during the Perseids weekend. Located on the peninsula of Osisko Lake, artists of all kinds performs on a gigantic stage to amaze both young and old. The shows are combined with a memorable pyromusical show at the end of the evening.

SEPTEMBER
Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue
Better known by its FME acronym, this festival promotes emerging and independent music. Thanks to indoor and outdoor shows, thematic evenings, “5 to 7” and other original formulas such as several hidden shows, the Festival de Musique Émergente animates and energizes the city during the long Labor Day weekend and promotes Rouyn-Noranda internationally.

OCTOBER
Festival du cinéma international en Abitibi-Témiscamingue
With more than 40 years of existence, the Festival du Cinéma International has attracted artists from all over the world. It presents short, medium and feature films, documentaries, animated films and works of fiction. Its programming is rich, varied and of high quality, which allows moviegoers to be amazed.
In addition to these large-scale festivals, Rouyn-Noranda offers a wide range of festivals and events with a more local flavor that are worth seeing, such as the Festival des Petits Bonheurs, the Mudra Festival and the Beaudry Stock-Car Festival.
