This former railway line located between Rouyn-Noranda and Taschereau invites cyclists to immerse themselves in a variety of landscapes representing the typical ecosystems of Abitibi-Témiscamingue. This 56 km long section is part of the Route verte and is entirely covered with stone dust.

Operating season: Summer season until hunting season opens.
Cyclo-voie du partage des eaux will be closed from Saturday September 21, 2024, due to the opening of the hunting season. The bike path crosses an area where hunters are numerous. The city therefore asks hikers and cyclists not to use the path. Access will be restored in spring 2025.
*Please note! Due to various damages, two sections are closed to traffic until further notice. These are :
– Section in Aiguebelle Park, from kilometers 33 to 38;
– section in the Abitibi-Ouest MRC, from kilometers 38 to 55.
It’s important to remember that the Cyclo-voie is reserved for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as for people with reduced mobility vehicles. Unless specifically authorized, all motorized traffic is prohibited on the cycling path.
